In the course of the TROIKA – Global Governance course, 20 Global Business Troika students visited the company Mondi Group in Hausmening on March 10, 2022 for a practical course. The event was organized in close coordination between the course instructor Dr. Andreas Krawinkler and the purchasing department at Mondi Neusiedler.
Under strict Corona requirements (2G+), a workshop on sustainability and with a focus on MAP 2030 was held with the support of Marita Schmid and Oliver Schwarz from the Group Sustainable Development Department of Mondi AG. In addition to the presentation of Mondi Neusiedler/YZG by Markus Wenzl (Procurement), the process flows in the paper mill were also explained by Tilo Herrmann (TCSD) in the course of a mill tour. With students from the universities of Nizhny Novgorod (RUS), Bergamo (I) and Linz, the essential approach to the UN Sustainable Development Goals was discussed and the company’s principle ‘PAPER WHERE POSSIBLE, PLASTIC WHEN USEFUL’ was introduced.
