ACT students visit Tabakfabrik and GRAND GARAGE

The Global Business ACT students currently are in their Austrian module at JKU in the international phase of the Master Program. As part of one of the courses students and professors had the chance to visit one of the most interesting places in Linz when it comes to innovation and start-up scene – the Tabakfabrik Linz. During a guided tour of the GRAND GARAGE (“Maker Space of Linz”) they were able to experience the latest technologies – from robots to 3D-printers.

As final part of the visit two projects on the topics of “Digital innovation for SMEs” and “Sustainable logistics concepts in the last mile” were launched together with the city of Linz and Consistix. After the excursion students had a good impression of how effective networking and cooperation between students, professors, public sector and companies is conducted.
