The VHS-Linz online event “International Trade and Climate Justice” offered Global Business students a rather critical view concerning globalization. Richard Kozul-Wright, guest speaker of this session and Director of the Division on Globalization and Development Strategies of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) examined the social struggles of our time as responses to a market capitalism that has gotten out of control and to reflect on alternative designs and visions of a sustainable and just societal development.
At the end of the expert’s presentation students were invited to ask questions about how different aspects of multilateralism can be best implemented to reduce inequality, reach climate justice and about current efforts concerning policy framework improvement.
