Marcella joined the IFI team as a research and teaching associate in August 2021. In this role, she works on her doctoral thesis in the field of Sustainable Business Model Innovation. Moreover, she teaches in the areas of innovation management, strategic management, and fundamentals of academic reading and writing. Marcella holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Vienna, and a Master’s degree in “Leading Innovative Organizations” from JKU Linz. She gained 15-years of professional experience in various sectors (e.g., Arts, Social Affairs, Green Urban Logistics, Technology & Innovation) with a continuous focus on project curation/implementation as well as partnership management. The step to switch from business to academia allows her to combine experience and curiosity with an in-depth examination of relevant topics while enabling a knowledge transfer on all sides – research, teaching, and practice.
Born and raised in Vienna, she has been living with her family in Upper Austria since 2017. In her private life she is interested in art, design, and sustainability.
