On Tuesday, March 20th the Global Business students were invited to the headquarters of the Federation of Austrian Industries (Industriellenvereinigung) in Linz. There, the vice-president Dr. Axel Greiner emphasized in his welcoming speech the importance of intercultural understanding in business and the need to foster the spread of women in management positions. The head of the Global Business program, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Robert Breitenecker thanked for the successful cooperation and support by the Federation of Austrian Industries. Also the current developments in the negotiation with future partner universities and contracts regarding potential double degrees were outlined. After that, six representatives of both Global Business programs (TROIKA and ACT) shared their experience and also expressed their gratitude for having the chance to be part of the “Global Business family”. The whole event was rounded up with a prepared buffet, which gave space for networking and fostering global business relations.
