Paola Lepore, a master student at the University of Studies of Udine (Uniud) was granted a prestigious scholarship that funds her international master theses project. During her three months research visit at IFI JKU Paola will develop the theoretical foundation and the methodology of her research.
Every year Uniud offers scholarships to excellent students in their final year of master programs to spend research periods abroad. Paola chose IFI JKU for her research visit and joined the international research group on trust in bank finance. Besides Matthias Fink and Daniela Maresch from IFI JKU, this research group includes Maurizio Massaro (Uniud, Italy), Andrea Moro (Cranfield University, UK) and Stefania Mccallister, a colleague who also was granted this scholarship and who joined Andrea Moro at Cranfiel University. Paola and Stefania will extend the group’s on-going research on the role of interpersonal trust in the lending relationship between SMEs and banks to the specific Italian context. Their research will allow for rich cross-country comparison.
