Final Project Presentations and Farewell – Global Business ACT ´23/24

With the end of April 2024, the ACT cohort’s international journey in the Global Business Master’s program came to an end as well with two important events: the final consulting presentations and the farewell dinner.

Over the past few months, students from the three universities UVIC, NSYSU and JKU have grown personally and academically. During the JKU term students successfully accomplished their major task – a consulting project with Austrian companies such as Voestalpine, Krawinkler Solutions, Umdasch and Business Upper Austria. Professors and company representatives could witness the personal and professional development of the students as they held their final project presentations. Among the most valuable outcomes were satisfied and interested company representatives when they heard the project results, proud professors who supported their students throughout their academic journey and, above all, the increased self-confidence of the students.

Of course, such a successful 9-month journey had to be celebrated. Therefore, students and representatives from UVIC, NSYSU and JKU came together at the Promenadenhof in Linz to spend a pleasant evening together. In addition to delicious food and moving speeches by professors and students, special surprises topped the sentimental mood. A recap video of the whole international phase and several dance performances by students made the evening one to remember. Looking back on the entire international period of the MGB program in Canada, Taiwan and Austria, it became obvious that the end of the program is just the beginning: the beginning of long-lasting friendships, of skills that are to be expanded even more and of further international careers and opportunities.
