TROIKA students at the Austrian Chamber of Labour

On March 10th, the TROIKA group was invited to the Austrian Chamber of Labour, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. During the morning, the students had the opportunity to participate in interesting lectures and to deepen their knowledge on local, regional and national level. At first, the students learned more about the Chamber of Labour. Its representative gave insights into the working methods and areas of responsibility and explained that such a system is quite unique in the world.
The second presentation was then given by a representative of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce about Upper Austria as a business location. Here the students learned what the region is known for and how it compares to the rest of the country. This was followed by a lecture of a staff of the Consumer Protection Department, which among other things exposed interesting and revealing results of product tests carried out.
Finally, in the last presentation, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the employee representation in the voestalpine group and to gain insights into the work council of the company.
Each presentation was followed by a discussion round, during which the students could ask their questions or get more details on specific topics. (Credit: IFI)
