Key note on Innovation Management at GKK Annual Meeting

IFI Professor Matthias delivered a key note speech on Successful Innovation Management in the Health Sector at the annual meeting of the Austrian public health insurance (GKK) that was devoted to innovation.

Matthias spoke about the key characteristics of innovation and how sustainable trends can be identified in the mass of hypes around innovation and explains how the tension between stability and change can be used to energise development. Pointing out the crucial role of the formulation of clear targets that are rooted in a shared understanding of how the future should look like and what the role of the own organisation can be, Matthias stressed the fact that innovation not only generates winners, but also losers. The key not concluded that successful innovation has to take into account also for those who are threatened by the change induced by new products, services and processes in order to contribute to a sustainable development towards a good life world.
