IFI fellow Johannes Gartner recently received his habilitation certificate from vice rector Alberta Bonanni. Johannes has successfully defended his cumulative Habilitation entitled “The Management of Technology and Innovation in the Digital Age”. In his work Johannes examines how entrepreneurial opportunities are recognized and evaluated under the conditions of information asymmetries in the dynamic digital era in order to make strategic decisions.
Johannes holds a doctorate in social and economic sciences from the Johannes Kepler University Linz, a diploma in computer science from the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida (Germany), a master’s degree in business administration from WU Vienna and a master’s degree in arts and business in information security management from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (Hagenberg campus). His habilitation thesis was written at the Institute of Innovation Management (IFI) at JKU.
